Most finance tools begin with values you enter yourself. External datasets are added only when a feature genuinely needs them, and historical lottery data has an additional validation and licensing gate.
Finance calculators
The current finance calculators primarily use user-entered values such as assets, liabilities, spending, savings, contributions, expected returns, inflation, withdrawal rates, and retirement horizons.
That keeps the core product independent of live market feeds and makes the assumptions visible. A projected return is an assumption selected for scenario analysis; it is not a live market forecast.
Calendar and tracking data
Browser-private planning features can reuse the scenarios and check-ins you create during the current browser session. The calendar layer derives from the same calculation engines as the originating tool rather than rebuilding the math separately.
Lottery data
The lottery vertical is designed around normalized historical draws stored in NumberCalendar’s own database. External providers supply raw draw facts, while NumberCalendar calculates its own frequency, gap, ranking, calendar, checker, and backtesting outputs locally.
Before public production ingestion, any selected provider must permit the intended commercial use, including storage, historical retention, public display, and locally derived statistics. A bounded provider sample is also compared with official lottery records.
Freshness and corrections
Lottery pages show the most recent draw date in the local dataset and an update timestamp where useful. Delayed data is not labeled as live. Official recorded results prevail if a provider discrepancy is found.
Historical corrections update a stored draw only when the incoming correction is newer and passes validation. Statistics are then recalculated from the corrected normalized history.
Future external datasets
Potential future finance sources include inflation history, market-return history, tax rules, pensions, or public-benefit data. Each source receives a separate source and licensing review before it becomes a dependency of a public tool.
